Good evening,

I need to find an answer to the following:

Even integers. Find two consecutive even integers that have a sum of 450

Thank you very much,
Cheryl

Hi Cheryl,

An example of two consecutive even integers is 16 and 18. Their sum is 34 which is twice 17.

Let's look at the question this way: how many different ways can two numbers add up to 450? Answer: quite a lot! But if the two numbers were really close (as two consecutive even integers are), then wouldn't they be very close to half of 450?

Hope this helps!
