I'm trying to calculate cubic feet from the dimensions of a machine given in inches.

Width = 32"
Height = 79.5"
Length = 91.5"
Weight = 3920 lbs

Please help? Obviously I've been away from school too long!!

Hi Frances,

I think that the easiest way to approach this is to convert the measurements to feet immediately. Since one foot is 12 inches, the dimensions are

Width: 32" = 32/12 feet
Height: 79.5" = 79.5/12 feet
Length: 91.5" = 91.5/12 feet Thu the volume in cubic feet is 39/12 x 79.5/12 x 91.5/12 = 134.708 cubic feet
