What math journals would publish a proposed solution to the P vs NP problem when the work has been done by an amateur mathematician who has no degree in math?

Roy

Hi Roy,

Well, the best thing to do is to reread your proof, maybe get it proofread by friends, to see if you can find a mistake. In the history of Fermat's last theorem, many amateur mathematicians thought that they had solved it, and some professional mathematicians would read their manuscripts and try to explain to the amateur mathematicians what their mistake was. Very few amateurs ever acknowledged their mistake.

If you are convinced that your solution is correct, the best thing to do is to submit it to the Millenium Prize Problems
