Name: Jon

Question:
How do I find the measurements required to make a box that holds 22.4 liters of something? Thanks.

Hi Jon,

One liter is 1000 cubic centimeters so your box has a volume of 22 400 cubic centimeters. Since the volume of a box is the product of its length, width and height you can obtain a volume of 22 400 cubic centimeters by finding any three numbers which have a product of 22 400. For example the product of 40, 40 and 14 is 22 400 and henc a box that is 40 centimeters by 40 centimeters by 14 centimeters has a volume of 22 400 cubic centimeters.

Cheers,
Penny
