Question: I am in a college calculus class (first level). I hope you can help me. The question is :

f(x)= x3+x+1, a=1 find g'(a) (g = f -1). I am having trouble finding g(a).

Hi Amy,

Since f and g are inverses, if g(a) = t then f(t) = a. You have a = 1 so what number t gives f(t) = 1?
