Hi Ginger, You seem to be dealing with the sequence of powers of 2. 2nd term: 2 1 = 2 3rd term: 2 2 = 4 . . . nth term: ??????? What relationship can you see between the exponent and the number of the term? i.e. when the number of the term is 1 (first term) the exponent is 0, when the number of the term is 2, the exponent is 1. . . etc. This should help you find the form for the nth term. Cheers, Leeanne |
