I am trying to figure the liquid gallons in a water tank that is 19" wide by 29.25" long and is 12.25" high. Could you tell me the formula to figure this out.

Your tank has a volume of

19"29.25"12.25"=6807.938 cubic inches

At this point you need to decide what kind of gallons you are using. One British imperial gallon is 277.42 cubic inches and one U.S. gallon is 231 cubic inches. Your tank holds

6807.938/277.42 = 24.54 British imperial gallons

which is

6807.938/231 = 29.47 U.S. gallons
