x + y=80
x + z=100
can you solve for x, y or z?
Hi,
The one word answer is no. The reason is that the two equations don't completely determine x, y and z.
- If x = 1 then y = 79 and z = 99
- If x = 2 then y = 78 and z = 98
- If x = 3 then y = 77 and z = 97
If you give me a value for either x, y or z then I can give you values for the other two that make both equations valid.
