I have a radio controled car (scale size 1/43). This car can travel 490 ft. per minute. I would like to know how fast that is at that scale size in miles per hour (and Kilometers per hour)?

Hi Robert,

The scale is not important here. There are 5280 feet in a mile and 60 minutes in an hour so

490 feet/min= 490/5280 60 = 5.57 miles/hour

One kilometer is approximately five-eights of a mile so

5.57 miles/hour = 5.57  8/5 = 8.9 kilometers/hour

Thus you car can travel at approximately five and a half miles per hour which is about nine kilometers per hour.
