This question is for elementary grade student:
 Suzanne Hi Suzanne,
For the first question think the teacher is looking for a cube. It has 12 edges of the same length, and 6 faces.
For the second question I can think of many shapes that fit this description.
Take a solid sphere and cut it in half through the centre to form a hemisphere. Put the hemisphere on the table with the flat side down and cut it again by a plane, parallel to the table top. You are left with a shape that meets your requirements. It looks like a cereal bowl, upside down.
Another shape that meets your requirements is a sector of an orange. Cheers,Penny To return to the previous page use your browser's back button. |
