2 cars start at same loc. drive opposite direction for 6 miles then they each turn left and travel for 8 miles how far apart are they?

After they travel 6 miles, turn left and travel 8 more miles the distance between them is the length of the red line in the diagram. I added two more lines and now I have a right triangle with the red line as its hypotenuse.
Can you finish it now?
