okay. i have an attachment with the picture. i have a cube, and the line that cuts threough the middle of the cube across to the other side is 4 radical6. what is the volume of the cube?

thank you

Hi,

I have redrawn your diagram.

I let x be the length of each side of the cube.

In the diagram triangle ABC is a right triangle, so use Pythagoras' theorem to find the length of AC. Triangle DAC is also a right triangle, so again use Pythagoras' theorem to find the length of DC.

What value of x give the length of DC as 4radical6?
