The convention is to first perform operations inside parentheses. In
your case that is 3
50=150.
This leaves
(3x50)+20/5 = 150 + 20/5
Next perform any exponention. These are none here. Next any divisions. Thus the next step is
150 + 20/5= 150 + 4
Then any multiplications. Again you don't have any. Lastly any additions and subtractions. Thus your final result is
150 + 4 = 154
