This is driving me crazy!!!   Someone told me of a number that can be divided EQUALLY by each of the following individual numbers: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.  what is that number?

Hi Jerry,

Suppose that the number is c then if you divide c by 2 you get the same result as when you divide it by 3. That is

 c/2 = c/3

Hence

3 c = 2 c

The only way this can be true is if c = 0.

The only number that can be divided equally by 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, and 9 is zero.
