What is the range of the function f(x) = 4x - 6 when the domain is {-3,-1,1,3,5}?

Hi Kelsey,

The range of a function is the set of numbers that result from applying the function to the numbers in the domain. To determine the range of your function f(x), substitute the numbers -3, -1, 1, 3 and 5 into the function and see what values you obtain. The set of these values is the range of the function.
