If the mixture is 1 pint to 6 gal. Do i use 4 pints to 24 gallons of gas

You are correct, if the mixture calls for 1 pint to 6 gallons then, since 24 gallons is 4 times 6 gallons, you need 4 times 1 pint which is 4 pints.
