Hi,
I'll do question 2 to show you how to get started. I am reading this as
7 ^{3}/_{4} = ^{3}/_{8h} + 6
First I would write the left side as one fraction. 7 is 28 over 4 so
7 ^{3}/_{4} = ^{3}/_{8h} + 6
^{31}/_{4} = ^{3}/_{8h} + 6
Now, to eliminate the fractions, I would multiply both sides by 8h
^{31}/_{4} = ^{3}/_{8h} + 6
8h ( ^{31}/_{4} ) = 8h ( ^{3}/_{8h} + 6)
62 h = 3 + 48 h
Finally, subtracting 48h from each sides gives
62 h = 3 + 48 h
62 h  48 h = 3 + 48 h  48 h
14 h = 3
h = ^{3}/_{14}
