| I don’t know what level question this is: I need to order sand for playgrounds. I have their square footage and the various depths of sand needed for each, but sand comes in tons. Hi Jody, There is a web site in the UK that give the density of materials so I thought I would look there to see how much a cubic foot of sand weighs. What I found was seven different numbers, for example for wet sand, for dry sand, for wet packed sand, for quartz sand,... I think you need to talk to the company that is quoting the price in tons and ask them your question. Sorry I can't help, |
