Hello, my name is Luiz and I have a math question. I would like to know how much net income in % we have increased from 2005 to a 2006(projection).
2005 Net Income Actual: $1,599,887
2006 Net Income Budgeted: $2,067,339

I think I have the question but I could be wrong; here its
2,067,339 - 1,599,887 = 467,452/1,599,887 = .29 *100 = 29% is this correct? please let me know with an explanation?

Luiz,

I agree with your calculations, your budgeted net income for 2006 is a 29% increase over the actual 2005 net income. I do however have a problem with the way you wrote it.

2,067,339 - 1,599,887 is 467,455 it is not 467,452/1,599,887. Also 467,452/1,599,887 is .29 it is not .29 *100. This is clear if you think of the units as dollars. 0.29 is twenty-nine cents and 29 is twenty-nine dollars.
