Hi Michael, A box that is one foot by one foot by 1 foot is 12 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches and hence the volume is one cubic foot os 123 = 1728 cubic inches. Thus a two cubic foot box will contain 2 1728 = 3456 cubic inches. There are many was you can make a box of volume 3456 cubic inches. The dimensions in inches can be any three positive numbers which have a product of 3456. Perhaps 24 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches. Or maybe 36 inches by 12 inches by 8 inches. Penny |
