Quandaries and Queries
 

 

I am trying to find another pair of integer sided isosceles triangles, not the same as the ones listed below, with equal areas.
(5,5,8)
(5,5,6)

Such triangles come from any right triangle with integer sides. Yours is a 3-4-5 right triangle.

Also familiar are 5-12-13 and 7-24-25. There is a way to list all integer-sided right triangles -- they side lengths are called Pythagorean triples.
