I am trying to find another pair of integer sided isosceles triangles, not the same as the ones listed below, with equal areas. (5,5,8) (5,5,6) Tammy Math instructor |

Tammy, Such triangles come from any right triangle with integer sides. Yours is a 3-4-5 right triangle. Also familiar are 5-12-13 and 7-24-25. There is a way to list all integer-sided right triangles -- they side lengths are called Pythagorean triples. Chris |
