a tank full of water that has a volume of 3.253 cubic meters would have a mass of?

Could you please explain the equation for working this out as I cannot remember!

Elaine,

Metric units are particularly convenient for this type of calculation since 1 cubic centimeter of water weighs 1 gram. There are 100 centimeters in a meter and hence
100 100 100 = 1000000 cubic centimeters in a cubic meter. Each cubic centimeter of water weighs one gram and hence 1 cubic meter of water weighs 1000000 grams. There are 1000 grams in a kilogram and hence 1 cubic meter of water weighs 1000 kilograms.
