Question from Bianka, a student: Could a triangle and a square ever be congruent? Explain. |
Hi Bianka,
In geometry, when we say two shapes are congruent, we mean that they are the same shape and the same size. If they are the same shape, they have to have the same number of sides, so a square and a triangle can't be congruent.
