Question from Clark, a parent:

I am adding sand for a base for a pool. It is 20' round and I would like the sand to be 2" deep. Can you tell me how many cubic feet that would be?
Thanks!

Hi Clark,

Look at the response I sent to Kenn. His problem was very similar but he wanted the volume in cubic yards. In your case you have a radius of 10 feet and a thickness of 2/12 feet and hebce a volume of

π 102 × (2/12) = 52.4 cubic feet.
