Question from Hannah, a student:

How do I find the area of the base of a triangular prism, so that I can find the volume by using the equation on the attachment. The formula is that volume equals one half times (base times height) times triangle height. Thank you for your help.

Hannah

Hi Hannah,

It really depends on what measurements you know. The volume of a triangular prism is the area of the triangular base times the height of the prism.

prism

What dimensions do you know?

Penny
