Hi Jackson, You should first take the mixed fraction 1 3/8 and write it as a common fraction. So 1 /8 is one and three eights but one is eight eights so 1 3/8 = 8/8 + 3/8 = 11/8. Remember what LCD stands for (lowest common DENOMINATOR) and the denominator is on the bottom. So, what multiples do 8 and 9 have?
This must be the LCD.
