Hi Jenni, It depends on the material you are comparing. A gram is a unit of weight and a milliliter is a unit of volume. One milliliter is 1 cubic centimeter. For example 1 ml of water weighs 1 gram so 4.7 ml of water weighs 4.7 grams and therefore 4.7 ml of water is more than 1.25 grams of water. On the other hand 1 ml of powdered mustard weighs 0.26 grams so 4.7 ml of powdered mustard weighs 0.26 × 4.7 = 1.222 grams and thus 1.25 grams of powdered mustard is more than 4.7 ml of powdered mustard.
