What is the index of the term '119' in the sequence 2, 5, 8, 11?

Hi Joey,

Notice that each term in the sequence is 3 more than the previous term. I think of the numbers on a line. I start at 2 and take steps of length 3 to end at 119. This I went a distance of 119 - 2 = 117. How many steps did you take? Which term of the sequence am I at? Be very careful how you answer. I suggest that you apply this technique to answer the question.

What is the index of the term '11' in the sequence 2, 5, 8, 11
