Question from katelyn, a student:

Hi I have a question about probability.

How many 3 digit numbers can be created if each number is a multiple of 10?

Katelyn,

An integer is a multiple of 10 precisely if its units digit is 0. Thus every three digit that is a multiple of 10 is of the form

(a 2 digit number) times 10

How many 2 digit numbers are there?

Penny
