Question from Lyndsey, a student: How do I calculate the skewness of a set of data? |
Hi Lyndsey,
Unfortunately there are different definitions of skewness. You can see a variety of them on the MathWorld site. They first give "the" definition of skewness (equation 1) and then in equations 4 to 9 they give six other definitions.
