What is the difference between -(3) and (-3)?

Mckaylla

The difference between -(3) and (-3) comes into play when working with exponents.

Ex.
-(3)2 = - (3*3) = -9
or
(-3)2 = (-3)*(-3 )= +9
AND
-(3)3 = -(3*3*3) = -27
or
(-3)3 = (-3)*(-3)*(-3) = -27

So remember "BEWARE OF THE NEGATIVE" when working with exponents.
