Question from QueenB, a student: Lindy is Planning To Build a Model Train Using A Scale Where 2 inches represents 25 feet. If the train is 60 feet long, what is the length in inches that lindy should Build The Model Of the train? |
Hi there.
The scale is like a fraction. 2 inches per 25 feet means 2 inches over 25 feet.
So you can multiply the actual length (60 ft) by the scale factor (2/25) to find the number of inches in length for the model.
Your answer is 60 x (2 / 25).
