Subject: Area of ellipse Hi, and thanks for your time. I have a task in which i have to find the area of a ellipse. i find this difficult because i have only been provided with the perimeter, which is 1000m. Can you please help me solve this task. Thanks for your time. |

You need more information -- the answer could be any number between 0 (for a long thin ellipse) up to its maximum in the case of a circle (Area of the circle of circumference 1000 m = 106/(4*pi) square meters.
