Question from vincent, a student:

How would you factor

the number in ( ) are exponents

2b(3)+3a(3)+3ab(2)+2a(2)b =

and

4b4b(3)+a(2)b - 4a - ab(4) =

Hi Vincent,

Keep in mind that there is more than one way to solve these kinds of problems - the final product you end up with should be the same, but there is more than one way to get there.

For these two problems, a hint would be to group terms with the same numerical coefficient together. I'll do the first one for you:

factoring
