I am pouring a concrete foundation 8" X 14" X 23'. How many cubic feet of concrete do I need?

Hi,

Since you want the volume in cubic feet you need to change all the dimensions to feet. There are 12 inches in a foot so

8 inches is 8/12 = 2/3 of a foot

and

  14 inches is 14/12 feet.

Thus the volume is

2/3 x  14/12 x 23 = 17.89 cubic feet.
