I have a large tank and I would like to know the formula for the conversion. And do you have any other info on web sites that have conversion tools as most of the tools are in u.s and I live in canada and need the metric conversions.

One of our contributors, Karen McIver, suggested in an answer to an earlier question that www.onlineconversion.com is pretty good for this kind of thing. You can convert from cubic meters to liters or gallons (UK or US) or just about any other odd volume unit.
