



 
Hi Cindy, Contractors measure concrete in cubic yards. They often just say yards but the units are cubic yards. To calculate the volume of concrete you need in cubic yards you should first convert each of the measurements to yards. There are 3 feet in a yard and 36 inches in a yard so
Thus the volume you need is 16/3 x 18/3 x 3/36 = 2.7 cubic yards. Penny
