Only you and your dirt supplier know whether this is correct for the kind of dirt you are planning to use. Since each inch is 1/12 of a foot and each acre is 43560 square feet, and each pound is 1/2000th of a ton, you have (6 / 12) x (8 x 43560) x (120 / 2000) tons. That's over 10 000 tons of dirt.
