Question from Mahrukh, a student:

Hi i would like to know how to find the equation of a line, when you are given a piont (3, -1) and the x intercept which is -1?

Mahrukh,

The statement the x intercept is -1 means that the line passes through (-1, 0). Can you find the equation of the line that passes through (3, -1) and (-1, 3)?

Penny
