In an arithmetic expression like you have you always perform the operations inside any brackets first, next any exponentiation, then any divisions, next multiplications, then additions and finally subtractions. Some people remember this order as BEDMAS. So in your example first divide 2324 by 4., add the result to 214 and finally subtract 525.
