I suggest you do this with your child using 15 nickels or if you don't have that many nickels use 15 pennies and pretend they are nickels. Since the question is about fifths arrange the 15 nickels in five piles of equal size. You are asked about two-fifths so take two of the five piles of nickels. How many nickels is that? How much money is that?
