Hello there.
I'll show you the procedure using a million seconds:
seconds: first divide by 60 seconds per minute and find the remainder
1 000 000 / 60 = 16 666 remainder 40. So there are 16 666 minutes and 40 seconds.
minutes: take the number of minutes above and divide by 60 minutes per hour:
16 666 / 60 = 277 remainder 46. So there are 277 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds.
hours: take the number of hours above and divide by 24 hours per day:
277 / 24 = 11 remainder 13. So there 11 days, 277 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds.
There are 11 days (not enough to divide 365 into) so the answer to this question:
one million seconds is 11 days, 13 hours, 46 minutes and 40 seconds.
Now you try it for a trillion seconds.
