Subject: Unit Digit
Name: Tyrone
Who are you: Other

Hi

This may be a dumb question, but what is the unit digit of two digits, eg: 62 or 13 or 45.

Thanks
Tyrone

Hi Tyrone.

"Unity" means one, so the units digit is the digit in the one's column. Eg. for the number 138, the 1 is in the hundreds column, the 3 is in the tens column and the 8 is in the one's column, so 8 is the unit digit of 138.

Hope this helps,
Stephen La Rocque.

Hi,

The unit digit in 62 is 2. The 6 is the tens digit.

In the number 5304, the unit digit is 4, the tens digit is 0, the hundreds digit is 3 and the thousands digit is 5.

Diane
