Question from ABHILASH.:

Sir,
How find parabolic arch perimeter.

Abhilash,

This involves finding the arc length of a parabola. If the parabola is y = x2/(2p) then the arc length expression requires you to integrate sqrt[1 + x2/p2]. The value of this integral can be found at http://home.att.net/~numericana/answer/calculus.htm#parabola or by using The Integrator. If you use The Integrator you need to know the correct notation in Mathematica. The expression to integrate is Sqrt[1 + x^2/(p^2)].
