This involves finding the arc length of a parabola. If the parabola is y = x2/(2p) then the arc length expression requires you to integrate sqrt[1 + x2/p2]. If you use The Integrator you need to know the correct notation in Mathematica. The expression to integrate is Sqrt[1 + x^2/(p^2)].
