Question from ashley, a student:

Simplify this expression

(2b^-1c^3)^3 (b^4c^-2)^0

Please help me. I not sure about the zero on the outside of parentheses.

Thanks
Ashley

Hi Ashley,

A non-zero number raised to the power zero is 1 so (b4c-2)0 = 1 and hence your problem simplifies to

(2b-1c3)3

Can you finish it?

If you need more assistance write back,
Penny
