Question from dale, a parent: 2 cars starting from the same point in opposite direction on a straight highway drove 6 miles then turn left and drove 8 miles. How far apart are the cars? |

Then I extended one line and added another.
What is the distance from S to C?
What is the distance from C to F?
What is the distance from F to S? (If you're not sure ask Pythagoras.)
