Question from Dara, a student:

The area of a triangle is 54m2. If its base is 5m, find its height.

Hi Dara,

The area of a triangle is half the base times the height. You have a base of 5 metres and an area of 54 square metres. If the height is h metres then

 1/2 × 5 × h = 54

Solve for h.
