Since 100 centimeters = 1 meter, if we square both sides of this equation, we get 100^{2} cm^{2} = 1^{2} m^{2}, so a square meter is 10 000 square centimeters. Thus, 175 grams per square meter is 175 grams per 10 000 square centimeters, which reduces to 0.0175 g/cm^{2}. Cheers,
