Question from Donna, a teacher:

Why can't you divide by zero?

In fact, you CAN divide by zero. What is meant by the imprecise statement,
"You can't divide by zero."
is that the quotient of a nonzero real number divided by zero cannot be written as a number in decimal form; in other words, 1/0 is not a real number. See
