Question from Jaye, a parent: The plot size is 5 m X 2 m. The seeding rate is 12Kg/ha. How much seed do I need per plot? I have failed to get a proper answer. |
Jaye,
1 kilogram is 1,000 grams and 1 hectare is 10,000 square meters so 12 kg/ha is 12,000g/10,000m2 which is 1.2g/m2. Your plot is 5 m by 2 m which is 5 × 2 = 10 m2 so you need 1.2 × 10 = 12 grams.
